Voltage Stabilizers & AVR
What is voltage stabilizers?
A voltage stabilizer is an electrical appliance used to feed constant voltage current to electrical gadgets like ACs and computers, and protects them from damage due to voltage fluctuations. It is also called as automatic voltage regulator (AVR).
Relay type voltage stabilizers, Servo controlled voltage stabilizers and static voltage stabilizers.
a. Voltage stabilizers are used in power conditioning for mobile production vehicles, TV and radio transmitters, general communication equipment and navigation/radar equipment.
b. They are used in industrial process control machinery and equipment, computer controlled manufacturing plant, thermal treatment processing, refrigeration etc.
c. They are also used in commercial lifts and escalators, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, power regulation in large buildings, computer rooms etc.
d. They find use in hospitals and medical centers, particularly in developing world X-ray scanning equipment.
